Finlaggan is well signposted from the main road. When travelling north on the A846 towards Port Askaig, take a left turn for Finlaggan about one mile after the village of Ballygrant. Follow the single-track road and take another left turn after half a mile. The Finlaggan Centre is at the end of the road.

The Visitor Centre is normally open from Easter to October, however in 2008 opening will be delayed until July to allow for building work to improve the Centre.
